Compost Awareness Week Events in Gloucestershire

In Gloucestershire we will be holding a series of events to promote Compost Awareness Week.

May 3rd & 4th
Tewkesbury Food and Drink Festival
(Near Tewkesbury Abbey)

10am-5pm
Learn more about home composting with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and find out how you can make good use of your food leftovers.  As part of the Love Food Hate Waste campaign, creative recipes will be available for you to try out! (4th only)

May 8th
Composting Tea Party
(Household Recycling Centre, Hempsted, Gloucester)

10am-3pm
Sample some carrot cake, with a fresh cup of herbal tea or fruit cordial.  Find out more about home composting and how you can make the best use of your garden waste.  Discover more about the Love Food Hate Waste campaign and get ideas on how leftovers can turned into a rather tasty dish! 

May 9th 
Gloucester Farmers Market
(The Cross, Gloucester)

9am-3pm
Find out more about how home composting can benefit your garden and the environment.  Also learn more about the Love Food Hate Waste Campaign.  A third of the food we buy gets thrown away.  However it can be put to good use.  Try out some of our free recipe ideas.
