Possible delays in accessing the Hempsted Household Recycling Centre (HRC)

On the 6th and 7th of June there may be some delays in accessing the Hempsted Household Recycling Centre (HRC). Sometime between 12.00 midday and 16.00 there will be an unusually large load travelling past the Hempsted site access road.
The full route of the loads will be:-
From Sharpness Docks, then up the A38 northbound to the Cross Keys roundabout then from there it will be using the slip road off the Southern Connector through to Quedgeley, then to the Cole Avenue junction, then along the South West Bypass to the A417 west of Gloucester and then along the A417 through Maisemore and onto Ledbury.
The company organising this load cannot be more accurate with respect to the timing, at this stage, because it will be travelling at 3 M.P.H. and they cannot determine whether it can maintain this speed along the whole length of the route.
So please be aware if you are planning on using the Hempsted HRC on either of these dates that you may encounter the large load if you use any of the route above. You may wish to alter your plans.
