Zero Waste Challenge Week 2009

Aunty Rubbish Agony Aunt
Welcome to the home of Aunty Rubbish, your local rubbish agony aunt. You may have received an email with useful hints and tips on your Zero Waste challenge. If not you can view them via the links below.
- My Zero Waste Blog page (Sept 08)
- Recycling Plastic (Nov 08)
- Christmas Already (Dec 08)
- Its Zero Waste Challenge Week (28 Jan 09)
I thought that this page on the 'My Zero Waste website' might be useful for comments and questions, the page gives you the opportunity to ask questions and get answers, from not only Mrs Green, but other people who log onto the site whether they are residents who have signed up to the challenge or people from across the world who are all aiming for zero waste to landfill.
It also gives us all an opportunity to post comments about how you are getting on during the Zero Waste Challenge Week and through this we could share ideas about how we can deal with a variety of materials. Mrs Green has created the page for residents who are taking part to document their experiences, ask for help, share resources and generally cheer one another along.
So log on here (or use the link on the left of this page) take a look and leave a comment, the team at Gloucestershire will also be logging on to post comments and experiences and they may be able to answer some of your questions through this media.
Good luck with the challenge week. Don't forget you'll need to weigh or estimate how much waste you produce next week, Monday 19th January. You can do this by weighing the rubbish or estimating the proportion you throw away (e.g. 3 and ¼ carrier bags) or any other method that suits you as long as it’s used to weigh both the week before and Zero Waste Week’s waste. ![]()
