Gloucestershire councils seeking residents' views on recycling
A door-to-door survey will be taking place in the county to find out residents’ views about recycling.
The survey is being carried out on behalf of the Gloucestershire Waste Partnership (GWP) and is scheduled to take place between 21st November and 17th December 2011.
The survey will take place in a sample of properties in Springbank, Whaddon, Podsmead, Linden, Stonehouse and Brockworth.
Councillor Stan Waddington, Chairman of the GWP said, "Gloucestershire’s councils have a target to recycle and compost at least 60% of our household waste by 2020, and although we’ve already come a long way, reaching 46% last year, there is still more to do.
"To achieve the future recycling increases required, we need the support of our residents, so it is vital that we are listening and this survey will ensure that we are in tune with their views.”
Residents should be aware that all the interviewers will wear identity badges and will be carrying letters of authorisation.
People who wish to check the identity of someone relating to this survey should contact their local council.
