Recycle for your community: Brockworth
How to turn your recycling in to cash...
Your community is taking part in a new recycling trial, and could benefit from a cash reward.
The more glass bottles and jars, food and drinks cans, and newspapers and magazines you and your neighbours recycle, the more cash will be generated for your community.
From March to November inclusive in 2012, the weight you recycle will be compared with the same months in 2011. At the end of the nine months, if it has increased Tewkesbury Borough Council will pay a cash reward to the chosen cause.
Your benefiting causes have now been chosen!
We are pleased to announce that the causes with the most votes in your community, which will receive a share of any cash reward generated, are Brockworth Albion Football Club & 1st Brockworth Brownies.
Brockworth Albion Football Club
We provide football coaching and organised games for children from the age of 6 years. The club have limited facilities and funds and we are always in need of support. All our club officials are volunteers and unpaid for their work as coaches, managers, helpers or committee members. We have the full backing of the Parish Council, and are a Chartered Standard Status Club with the Football Association.
1st Brockworth Brownies
We are the last Brownie group left in Brockworth. We provide positive fun activities for our young people. The funds would provide resources for our troop including equipment, guest speakers and residential trips.
