Why
Recycle?
Recycling
reduces the demand for raw materials, allowing waste
materials to be used again and
again - and made into useful products. Most of the every day products we use can be recycled into something else.
Recycling uses less energy to produce goods than if they have been manufactured from virgin materials, reducing the need for mining, quarrying or logging.
By recycling we can also reduce the amount of waste that we have to dispose of. This means fewer landfill sites and a reduction in greenhouse gases which combats global warming. |
