Gloucestershire waste partnership

In areas such as Gloucestershire responsibility for waste management is shared between the county council, which is responsible for waste disposal and the district, city and borough councils which have responsibility for collecting household waste.

The Gloucestershire Waste Partnership (GWP) is a partnership of all seven district, city and borough councils and the county council who are working together to continuously improve waste management services in Gloucestershire.

GWP Partnership Agreement July 2009

The members of the GWP are:

Gloucestershire County Council

The six districts in Gloucestershire

Cheltenham Borough Council

Cotswold District Council

Forest of Dean District Council

Gloucester City Council

Stroud District Council

Tewkesbury Borough Council

Members of Gloucestershire Waste Partnership who are not partners of the Joint Waste Team now attend the bi-monthly JWT meetings as co-optee members from December 2014.  Minutes of these meetings can be found on GlosText (the County meetings, agendas and minutes portal).
